Under the grace of God Almighty and the blessings of the Seventh Imam, and under the guidance of the Supreme Leader, and with the support of the late Custodian of the Holy Shrine of Quds Razavi, in order to continue the development of cultural and social services of the Holy Shrine of Quds Razavi and to provide appropriate medical facilities for the pilgrims, neighbors, and devotees of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Reza (peace be upon him), Razavi Hospital was opened in 2005 to take the first step towards fulfilling a great dream of having a unique medical center to serve Muslims inside and outside the country in a modern and unique space.
The first phase of Razavi Hospital has been built on a land area of 39 hectares with an area of approximately 56,000 square meters on 5 floors. 36 hectares of this space is considered green space. Part of this green space on the western side of the hospital building stands out as a beautiful and clean garden.
This large and unique green space has been able to create a relaxing atmosphere for the patient and his companions in addition to creating unique and eye-catching views.
Razavi Grand Hospital, like a shining gem in the holy land of Khorasan, serves patients and those in need by providing the most advanced medical diagnostic and treatment services for patients inside and outside the country and by using prominent doctors and elite researchers in medical sciences inside and outside the country.
Less than 5 years after the opening of Razavi Hospital, the Razavi Hospital expansion project was launched so that this large medical and scientific center of the country can be more prepared and contribute to the growth and development of medical knowledge in the country and the world. The simultaneous welcome of the people, the prominent doctors of our country, as well as the potential available in the hospital for expanding health tourism in the country on the one hand and the continuous advancement of medical knowledge and the creation of new technologies in various medical fields on the other hand, led to the first steps being taken towards the development of the hospital, and thus the construction of the new hospital building began and it was put into operation in less than 3 years in September 2013.
The second phase of Razavi Hospital is built on an area of 37,500 square meters on 4 floors (excluding the basement). The latest engineering and construction methods and practices have been observed in the design and construction of this building, which was carried out by an Iranian-German team. This building is resistant to fire and earthquakes of more than 8 on the Richter scale. One of the striking features of the new building is its beautiful and modern lobby. Above the ceiling of this lobby, inspired by Islamic architecture, a glass dome is responsible for providing light to this floor. The broken and symmetrical two-way staircases in combination with this azure dome have created a beautiful view. Access to the beautiful hospital restaurant and coffee shop, which are designed for the comfort of patients, their companions and hospital staff, is easily possible from this lobby.

Razavi Hospital, considering its short period of operation, was able to first win the first-class title and then, for the umpteenth consecutive year, last year, the first-class title. Winning the National Quality Award is another honor for the hospital. This is while its various departments are reviewed by various inspectors of supervisory organizations to assure its foreign and Iranian patients that the latest standards and protocols are used in treating patients. In this regard, the hospital succeeded in obtaining the ACI Platinum Certificate in its first attempt in 2013 and then succeeded in obtaining the ACI Diamond Certificate in 2015. With this achievement, Razavi Hospital is the first general hospital in the country to receive this prestigious certificate.
By employing the best and most experienced medical staff from all over the country and the world, Razavi Hospital has tried to use the latest treatment methods for its patients. In this regard, and in order to improve the level of medical knowledge, Razavi Hospital has held more than 153 congresses, international and national conferences, as well as training workshops by the end of 2015, one of the most prominent of which is the International Congress of Cardiac Surgery, which has been held annually since 2008. The Annual International Congress of Health Tourism in Islamic Countries, the International Congress of Road Accidents, the International Congress of Epilepsy, the International Congress of Gastrointestinal Cancers, the International Symposium on Neurosurgery, the International Congress of Stroke, the International Congress of Neurothermia, the International Congress of Proctology, the International Congress of Anxiety, the International Congress of Echocardiography, and the International Congress of Professional Communication in Hospital Centers are among other congresses held at the hospital.
In these congresses, the best and greatest scientists from various medical fields discuss and exchange views on their latest achievements. According to foreign guests of these congresses, many of whom were visiting our country for the first time, Razavi Hospital has created a good opportunity for researchers and scholars and will undoubtedly be an important hub of science production in the Middle East in the future.
Certainly, familiarity with the various services offered at Razavi Superspecialty Hospital, as well as its unique facilities and capabilities, will help the hospital achieve its goals, which are nothing other than serving and raising the scientific level of the country's medical community.
