- General Service Description:
The “Surgery 4” department of the hospital is a specialized therapeutic and care unit in the field of colorectal surgery, established in 2013 and located in Building No. 2, third floor, next to Surgery Ward 5. This department performs a wide range of colorectal surgeries, including surgery for colorectal cancer, intestinal obstruction, hemorrhoids, anal fissure and fistula, pilonidal cyst, and procedures related to stoma management. Key services include colorectal cancer screening for first‑degree relatives of patients, specialized education on stoma bag care, and the possibility of performing diagnostic procedures prior to admission such as CT scans and colonoscopy.
The department’s medical team consists of three colorectal subspecialist physicians, 22 clinical staff members, three service staff, and one administrative employee. It is managed by Dr. Reza Roshanravan (Head of Department), Ms. Farahnaz Tehrani (Supervisor), and Ms. Sara Fayazi Bardbar (Head Nurse). Surgery 4 operates 24 hours a day, with visiting hours from 14:30 to 16:00, and can be contacted through internal extension 2820. Providing appropriate welfare facilities for patients and their companions, nutritional and pharmaceutical consultation, physiotherapy during hospitalization and biofeedback therapy after discharge, along with telephone follow‑up of all patients after discharge, are among the distinguishing features of this department.
